Three people escape injury in arson attack
Three people have escaped injury following an arson attack at a house in north Belfast last night.
The incident occurred at the house in Gardenmore, near the Old Cavehill Road.
A bin containing a flammable liquid was set alight against the back door of the property.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 028 9065 0222 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.

At the first meeting of the Communities Committee, Minister Gordon Lyons has committed to delivering policies that make a 'real and meaningful impact'. Whilst acknowledging the scale of the challenge facing all departments in terms of budget, the Minister outlined his ambitions for getting the most from available funds.

Six Arrests Made At Protest In L'Derry
The PSNI in L'Derry arrested six people for disorderly behaviour following a protest at a retail premises in the Strand Road area. At approximately 2.20pm on Saturday 20th April, police received a report that a number of people had entered the shop to carry out a protest.

PHA Warns Of Increasing Cases Of Tuberculosis In NI
The Public Health Agency (PHA) has issued a warning over a steady increase in cases of tuberculosis (TB) in Northern Ireland since 2020. There were 77 cases of TB notified to the PHA in 2023, an increase from 68 cases reported in 2022 and 55 cases reported in both 2021 and 2020.
