Newtownards man shot in paramilitary-style attack |

Police are appealing for information after a man was shot in a paramilitary-style attack in Co Down on Thursday.
The 30-year-old man was walking along the Jubilee Road in Newtownards at around 9pm when he was bundled into a car.
He was taken to an area known as the Flood Gates on the Portaferry Road, where he was shot in the leg.
The man was later treated in hospital for a gunshot wound.
Elsewhere, a controlled explosion has been carried out on a suspect package in Co Londonderry.
A number of families had to leave their Hazeldene Park home's in Magherafelt while Army bomb experts examined a suspicious object found outside a house.
The suspect package was later declared a hoax.
