Three men injured in racial attack |
|
Three men have been attacked in what police are treating as a racial incident in Lurgan, Co Armagh on Tuesday evening.
At around 9pm, the three men, who are believed to be Latvian, were walking through Lord Lurgan Park when they were attacked by a number of assailants.
One of the men suffered a stab wound to his arm, while the two remaining men were assaulted and kicked by the attackers.
All three were taken to hospital for treatment.
Elsewhere, police in Ballyclare are appealing for information about a robbery in the town on Tuesday night.
Some time between 7pm and 7.30pm a 22-year-old man was in a house at Doagh Road in the town when he answered the door to three men.
The men, one of whom was armed with a handgun, forced their way into the house before handcuffing the man to a radiator.
Although he was kicked in the ribs during the incident, the man was not seriously injured.
The men took a computer – and may have taken other items – before making their escape in the victim’s white Honda Civic car, registration JUI 8649.
Anyone with information on either incident is asked to contact police on 028 9065 0222 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
