Body uncovered following caravan fire

Police have uncovered a body following a fire in a caravan parked in the garden of a house in Co Antrim.

The body was discovered in the early hours of Friday at Taylor's Avenue in Carrickfergus, however fire investigators have yet to determine a cause of the blaze.

Elsewhere, two houses have been damaged in separate petrol bomb attacks in counties Antrim and Fermanagh.

In the first incident, a family escaped injury when three petrol bombs were thrown through the window of a house in Lower Celtic Park, Enniskillen.

In a second separate attack a device was thrown through the window of a house in Brookfield Gardens, Ahoghill. A 39-year-old man was taken to hospital where he was treated for the effects of breathing in smoke.

Police have appealed for anyone with information on any of the above incidents to contact detectives on 028 9065 0222 or 0800 555111.
