Teenager rescued from burning building

A teenager has been rescued from a fire in a derelict building in north Belfast on Wednesday.

The 14-year-old boy was discovered trapped on the first floor of the house on the Cavehill Road late last night.

Three fire crews using breathing equipment rescued the boy, rendering first aid and oxygen, before he was brought to hospital where he was treated for the effects of smoke inhalation.

Police and fire crews investigating the blaze have yet to determine how it started.

Limavady Murder Victim Named As 17-Year-Old Blake Newland
