Security alerts in Belfast city centre |
|
Police have been called to a number of security alerts throughout Belfast City Centre.
Army Technical Experts have been tasked to the Clifton Street area, which has been sealed off while officers examine the area. The York Road area - opposite Yorkgate, has also been sealed off.
Traffic is being affected and diversions are in place.
A number of telephone warnings have also been received identifying security alerts in the Castlecourt Complex, the High Park Centre, Broadway, however nothing untoward has been found.
Meanwhile, a security alert in south Belfast has ended.
A suspicious devise was reported to be close to the Apollo Road junction of the Boucher Road area of the city, and shortly after, part of the railway line at Dunmurray was sealed off while the area was searched, however nothing was discovered.
