Arson attack on north Belfast Orange Hall

Police in north Belfast have appealed for information following an arson attack on an Orange Hall yesterday evening.

Emergency Services were alerted to the blaze on the Whitewell Road shortly after 9.45pm after it was discovered that the back door had been forced open and petrol had been poured in and set alight.

The building suffered smoke and scorch damage during the incident, however no one was injured in the fire.

A number of items have been removed for forensic examination.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who may have any information in relation to the attack, should contact detectives in north Belfast on 0845 600 8000, or anonymously on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.

A man and a child have escaped uninjured after two shots were fired at a house in north Belfast on Monday evening. The PSNI said the man and child were in the property at Westland Way at about 23:50 on Monday night, when the man heard two shots. He went to the door and observed two strike marks.

Man shot in 'paramilitary style' attack
Police in County Antrim have appealed for information after a man was shot during a paramilitary style attack at the weekend. The incident happened in the Parkmount Terrace area of north Belfast at around 9.15pm on Saturday evening, when a 24-year-old man was attacked from behind by two men.

The PSNI have appealed for information after four cars were set alight in north Belfast. Police say the suspected arson attack happened at around 22:30 on Tuesday night on the Whitewell Road. It is understood no one was injured in the incidents.

Appeal For Information On North Belfast Arson Attack
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information and witnesses following an arson attack on a house in north Belfast on the evening of Sunday 27 August. According to police, at approximately 10pm, they received a report that the front door of a property in the Cliftonpark Avenue area had been set on fire.
