Pensioners Flee Bangor Arson Attack |
|
Police in North Down are appealing for information following a suspicious fire at a community hall in the Skipperstone Road area of Bangor on Thursday.
At around 9.00pm, petrol was poured over the door of the centre and set alight.
A number of pensioners were in the community centre at the time. They escaped uninjured but minor damage was caused to the building.
It is believed a group of youths were seen in the area at the time of the incident and it is understood the blaze was out by the time fire crews reached the scene.
The Police Service of Northern Ireland arrested two teenagers, both male, in connection with the blaze.
A police spokesman said today the teenagers were later released on bail.
