UDA Issues 'Militant' Remembrance Statement |

.jpg) Loyalist paramilitary group the Ulster Defence Association (UDA) has issued a distinctively militant statement to mark national Remembrance Day.
The group has warned nationalists against threatening its 'British-ness', saying it remains ready to face the 'republican threat'.
Despite stating the 'threat' is non-violent, the UDA insisted it is every bit as dangerous and yesterday, the Independent Monitoring Commission expressed disappointment in the progress made by the group on decommissioning.
The situation has prompted the Commission's Joe Brosnan, a former Secretary of the Department of Justice in Dublin, to push for a further deadline for loyalist decommissioning.
Today's statement from the UDA is contrasted against last year's more conciliatory sentiment.
The group went on to accuse republicans of racism, ignorance and bigotry.
