Police issue fresh appeal in Lithuanian double murder |
|
The police have issued a fresh appeal for information about the double murder of two Lithuanian men found lying on a roadside in County Down last month.
Police have said they have located the shaft of a golf club which they suspect may have been used to bludgeon to death the two Lithuanian men.
The head of the golf club, thought to be a putter has not been found.
The mutilated bodies of the two Lithuanian victims were found dumped in thick undergrowth near Warrenpoint last month.
Detectives believe they were attacked with a golf club in the neighbouring town of Newry two days earlier.
Police have said they wanted to hear from anyone who saw persons being carried from a house at Sandy Street in Newry on the evening of May 12 or the early hours of May 13.
They have also appealed for information about a brown leather laced up shoe, belonging to one of the deceased which has not been found and documents such as a passport or driver’s license.
Detectives can be contacted on 028 3026 5500.
