Many More Die In Afghanistan
The UK's death toll in the Afghan conflict has passed the 200 milestone.
The three British soldiers who have been killed in Afghanistan, took the number of UK fatalities to 204 - following two other military deaths at the weekend.
The numbers are in addition to a private security guard from Northern Ireland being killed.
He was an ex regular army soldier - who was still a TA Sergeant - working on his second 'tour' as a security officer.
The military personnel died following an explosion while on patrol near Sangin in Helmand province on Sunday morning.
The Ministry of Defence said the soldiers were from the 2nd Battalion The Royal Regiment of Fusiliers.
Speaking about the most recent deaths, Lieutenant Colonel Nick Richardson, spokesman for Task Force Helmand, said "each and every death is a tragedy".
"Words mean very little in such an extremely sad situation but our thoughts and prayers are with the families and friends of these brave soldiers, " he said.
"We share their pain and mourn the loss of these true British heroes."
Earlier, PM, Gordon Brown admitted it had been "a very difficult summer", but said progress was being made.
In all, five soldiers have died over the weekend - four from the 2nd Battalion the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers.
The grim milestone of 200 was reached on Saturday when a soldier, from the 2nd Battalion The Royal Welsh, died of his injuries at a hospital in Britain.
Another soldier, from the 2nd Battalion The Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, died after an explosion on Saturday while on foot patrol in Sangin.

Two soldiers killed in southern Iraq
Two British soldiers have died following an ambush outside the town of Basra in southern Iraq, the Ministry of Defence has confirmed. Soldiers came under fire as they tried to rescue others from an armoured Land Rover which had been hit by a rocket-propelled grenade at around 0615BST.

Inquest Into Death Of Senior Officer
The inquest into the death of the most senior officer to be killed in Afghanistan and his teenage colleague will begin today. Lt Col Rupert Thorneloe, 39, of the 1st Battalion Welsh Guards, was in charge of more than 1,000 soldiers. He is the most senior British Army officer to be killed in action since the Falklands.
