Probe Underway As Man, Woman and Child Die
A man, woman and child have died from their injuries after an incident at a house in Leicestershire on Thursday evening.
Police said they were alerted to the incident at about 4.20pm on Thursday afternoon when a 15-year-old injured girl raised the alarm in the Melton area. The victim was taken to hospital.
During the initial investigation, police attended an address in Melton and forced entry to the house where they discovered two children and two adults with injuries.
A police spokesman said that a man, a woman and child discovered at the address had since died from their injuries.
It is believed that the man was a former police officer.
Meanwhile, two children are being treated at the Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham for serious injuries.
The spokesman said: "We are in the initial stages of the investigation but at this stage we are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident."
The house has been cordoned off to allow for a forensic examination.
Post mortem examinations are due to take place at a later stage.

British Man Dies In Dubai Police Custody
A British man has died in police custody in Dubai. Lee Bradley Brown, 39, from east London, died on Tuesday after he was taken to a Dubai police station where he was allegedly assaulted and put into a cell. It has been reported that Mr Brown, was arrested over a row at the luxury hotel Burj Al Arab hotel.

Man Arrested Over Kent Doctor's Murder
A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a doctor in Kent. Consultant paediatrician Dr Victoria Anyetei, 54, was found in her car in the driveway of her home in Dartford on August 14. She had been stabbed to death. Kent Police said that the man was arrested on suspicion of murder at an address in Dartford.

England rugby player Olly Barkley has been arrested by police using CS spray following a fight in which a man suffered a broken jaw. The 24-year-old fly half, who also plays for Bath, was arrested by Devon and Cornwall Police in Newquay on Sunday night. A 19-year-old student from Cardiff and a 23-year-old man from Wadebridge were also arrested.

Wanted Man Arrested In London
The man wanted in connection with the murder of a 66-year-old man who intervened during a robbery, has been arrested. Ian John McLoughlin, 55, was arrested in London at around 01:00. He was wanted on suspicion of murder and robbery. Airports and ports had been put on alert as police hinted for McLoughlin.
