Three Jailed For Life For Catherine Wells-Burr Murder

Three Polish nationals have been jailed for life for the murder of Catherine Wells-Burr, in a plot to collect on a six-figure life insurance policy.

31-year-old Rafal Nowak smothered Ms Wells-Burr in her sleep at the home they shared in Chard, Somerset, in September last year.

He was sentenced to life, with a minimum of 32 years.

Nowak’s ex-girlfriend and accomplice, 32-year-old Anna Lagwinowicz was also sentenced to life, along with her uncle Tadevsz Dmytryszyn, 38.

Lagwinowicz and Dmytryszyn helped Nowak dispose of Ms Wells-burr’s body, by putting it in her car and setting it on fire.
