Police Arrest Man Over Grand National Assault Video
Police have arrested a 34-year-old man in connection with an alleged assault on a 63-year-old at Aintree on the opening day of the Grand National.
An investigation was launched after a mobile phone video was posted to YouTube allegedly showing the elderly man being "shoulder barged" to the ground.
The footage then shows a number of people running to assist the man and calling an ambulance.
The suspect is understood to have voluntarily attended a police station.
The police said: "Merseyside Police has been made aware of a video showing a man shoulder-barging another, older man, over in a road near to the Aintree racecourse.
"The incident is being treated as assault and officers are speaking to several people believed to have further information that could help the investigation."

British Man Dies In Dubai Police Custody

Lee Bradley Brown, 39, from east London, died on Tuesday after he was taken to a Dubai police station where he was allegedly assaulted and put into a cell. Police Arrest Man After Sexual Assault
Police have arrested a man in connection with the sexual assault of a woman in Powys. The attack happened in the early hours of 13 July in the Cradoc Close Estate, Brecon. A 31-year-old man has been arrested and bailed whilst enquiries continue.

Man Arrested Over Sexual Assault In Somerset
Police investigating a sexual assault in Somerset, during which a mother and child were tied up and held at knifepoint, have arrested a 59-year-old man. Police arrested the man on suspicion of aggravated burglary and sexual assault, in connection with the incident in Sydenham, Bridgewater on 21 January.

Man Arrested Over Kent Doctor's Murder
A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a doctor in Kent. Consultant paediatrician Dr Victoria Anyetei, 54, was found in her car in the driveway of her home in Dartford on August 14. She had been stabbed to death. Kent Police said that the man was arrested on suspicion of murder at an address in Dartford.

Car Parking Row Man Dies
A salesman has died after an alleged assault following an argument over a parking space. The 53 year-old man collapsed, shortly after 2pm on Tuesday, after being involved in the fight behind some shops in Griffnock, East Renfrewshire. He later died at the Victoria Infirmary in Glasgow.
