32-Year-Old Woman Arrested On Suspicion Of Stabbing Mother

A 63-year-old woman is said to be in a "serious but stable" condition after being airlifted to hospital in south Wales.

It is understood the woman suffered stab wounds in an incident at her home on Gwyrddgoed Road, Pontardawe, on Tuesday afternoon.

A 32-year-old woman, said to be the victim's daughter, has been arrested in connection with the incident.

Woman Arrested In Connection With Daughters Death In Road Accident
A woman has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving following a road accident which killed her two-year-old daughter. Police have said that the woman was driving a car which left the road and hit a tree on Gibbins Road, Selly Oak, at about 16:00 on Thursday.

Daughter Arrested Over Mother's Death
A 39-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of murdering her mother in Bournemouth. The body of a woman in her sixties was found at an address on Queensland Road in Bournemouth around 1:20pm on Wednesda, Police are currently awaiting the results of a post-mortem on the women, who has not yet been formally identified.

Church Asked To Support Fast-Track Women Bishops Law
The first woman bishop in the Church of England could be appointed by Christmas. The general synod supports the legislation to fast-track the revision of the latest proposals and to reduce the time given to individual dioceses. This could lead to a final vote in July with the legislation approved by November.
