Woman Hurt By Falling Billboard

A woman is being treated in hospital after being hit by a falling billboard in Tooting.

London Fire Brigade and London Ambulance Service were called to the scene on Mellison Road just after 07:30 on Tuesday morning.

It is understood that the woman was injured by the falling billboard but not trapped.

Fire crews made the scene safe before handing it off to Wandsworth Council.

Appeal Issued Into Man's Death As Car Pulled From River

Northumbria Police have appealed for information following the death of a man, who's car was found in the river at Merchant Wharf in Walker.

It is understood that a member of the public reported a car in the river at about 10:40 on Tuesday. When emergency services arrived at the scene, they found that the driver of the car was still in the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Enquiries are being carried out to establish the circumstances of the incident.

Any witnesses should contact Northumbria Police on 101.

'Mystery' Saxon Child Found Next To Hereford Cathedral

Archaeologists have uncovered the remains of a Saxon child buried next to Hereford Cathedral.

The discovery was made during an archaeological dig as part of a £5.4m Heritage Lottery-funded project to restore and landscape the close.

Archaeologists said it was a "mystery" as to how the child came to be there and they are continuing to investigate.

Emergency services at scene of 20-car M5 pile-up
Police are currently attending a major road traffic collision on the M5 reportedly involving up to 20 vehicles. Early indications indicate that around 20 vehicles have been involved in the collision on the M5 northbound between junction 20 at Clevedon and Portishead at junction 19.

Children Found Dead After Mother Falls To Her Death
Police investigating the death of a pregnant woman who fell from a multi-storey car park have discovered the bodies of three young children in a house in Suffolk. The children were found dead at a property in London Road South, Lowestoft, Suffolk, on Monday.

Car Showroom Destroyed In Fire
A car showroom in Somerset has been badly damaged in a fire. Fire crews were called to the two-storey building on Bridgewater Road in Lympsham at about 21:40 on Thursday night. At its highest 11 fire crews were on the scene tackling the blaze which spread quickly across the showroom. There were no reports of any injuries.
