Eight Charged In Connection With Hatton Garden Heist

Eight men have been charged with conspiracy to burgle in connection with the Hatton Garden raid.

Brian Reeder, 76, Terry Perkins, 67, Daniel Jones, 58, Carl Wood, 58, Paul Reeder, 50, Hugh Doyle, 48, William Lincoln, 59 and John Collins, 74, have all been charged by detectives from the Metropolitan Flying Squad.

The men are due to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court today.

It is believed £200m worth of jewellery was stolen after a gang broke into the vault at Hatton Garden Safe Deposit Company in London over the Easter weekend.

Nine Arrests Made Over Hatton Garden Heist
Nine people have been arrested in connection with the Hatton Garden heist. The arrests were made after police raided 12 properties in London and Kent. It is believed £200m worth of jewellery was stolen after a gang broke into the vault at Hatton Garden Safe Deposit Company in London over the Easter weekend.

Met Officers Make Stolen Jewellery Bust
Camden Police have seized jewellery estimated to be worth tens of thousands of pounds in raids from outlets in the Hatton Garden area on Wednesday, 3 October. Over 50 officers were involved in the raids, executing warrants at seven businesses believed to have been involved in handling stolen goods.

Two More Charged Over Hatton Garden Robbery
The Metropolitan Police have charged two people in connection with the Hatton Garden safety deposit box raid in April. Brenn Walters, aka Ben Perkins, 43, and 35-year-old Terri Robinson have been charged in connection with the robbery and are due to appear before Westminster Magistrates' Court on 27 August.

New Garden City To Be Developed In Bicester
A new garden city is to be developed in Bicester, Oxfordshire, to tackle the housing shortage, the Deputy Prime Minister has confirmed. Mr Nick Clegg said 13,000 new homes will be built in Bicester, as part of the National Infrastructure Plan to be published tomorrow, 3rd December.

Hatton Garden Raid Scene 'Chaotic'
Police investigating the raid on Hatton Garden Safety Deposit in London have described the scene as "chaotic". It is now known that thieves used a communal lift shaft to gain entry to the basement of the building in London's jewellery district, which housed the safety deposit boxes.
