Appeal Issued After Woman Seen Self-Harming In Central London

Police have appealed for information on a woman seen self-harming at Shaftesbury Avenue at approximately 16:30 on Tuesday, 15 September.

She is described as a black woman, with an afro hairstyle and is possibly in her early 40s. The woman was wearing a black t-shirt, black baggy trousers and flip-flops.

Officers carrying out enquires have established the woman entered a nearby shop on Shaftesbury Avenue and brought a number of items before exiting and making her way to a phone box. It was here that she self-harmed before walking away, heading towards Charing Cross Road.

Police are becoming increasingly concerned for the welfare of the woman and are urging anyone who has seen her or has any information to call police on 101.
