Man Charged With Tower Hamlets Stabbing Murder
A man has been charged with murder following a fatal stabbing in Tower Hamlets on Monday, 14 September.
A man, named by police as Zakariyya Islam (45), was found with critical stab injuries at an address on Greatorex Street. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 43-year-old man, named as Ashfav Choudry, of Kensington Avenue, Watford, Hertfordshire, was arrested at the scene and has now been charged with murder.
He will appear in custody at Thames Magistrates’ Court later this morning, Thursday, 17 September.

Craig Jamieson, 28, from Scotscoun, appeared before Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday, where he was remanded in custody. Mr Jamieson was arrested on Friday, shortly after the baby died in Glasgow's Yorkhill Hospital, after being taken from her home in Partick.

Double Murder Suspect Arrested
Following the arrest on Sunday morning of double murder suspect James Allen police have appealed for people to check on any friends and relatives who could have come into contact him. Detectives made the appeal after 36-year-old Allen was arrested early on Sunday after being spotted by an off-duty officer on his way to work in Leeds.
