Two hurt in second mail bomb blast

Two men have been injured in a small explosion at an office building in Berkshire.

Thames Valley Police confirmed that officers were called to the offices of accountancy firm Vantis in Oaklands Business Centre in Wokingham just after 9am on Tuesday.

It is understood that an item of mail exploded. The two men who were injured were both in their 30s and it is understood that their injuries were minor.

South Central Ambulance Trust said that the men had been treated for blast injuries to their hands and upper body, but had not been taken to hospital.

Fourteen people have been evacuated from the building and a cordon has been set up around the site.

The incident comes a day after a woman was slightly injured by a letter bomb in the Captia building in Victoria Street in central London.

Thames Valley Police said that they were aware of the incident in London, but said that it was too soon to speculate on any possible connection between the two incidents.

Woman injured in 'mail bomb' blast
A woman has been slightly injured in an explosion at a building in central London. The woman was injured by what is believed have been a letter bomb which was found in the Capita building in Victoria Street. She was taken to hospital, suffering from minor injuries. The incident happened around 9:40am on Monday morning.

Police Officers Injured In Moped Incident
Two police officers are being treated in hospital after being hit by a suspected stolen moped in Lewisham. According to reports a female officer suffered a broken collar bone, and a male police officer suffered an ankle injury in the incident at about 23:30 on Monday night.
