Three In Custody After Galway Murder
Three people, two men and a woman have been arrested by police investigating the murder of a 17-year-old Swiss student in County Galway.
The body of Manuela Riedo, who arrived recently in Galway to take up an English studies course, was found on waste ground close to the railway line at Lough Atalia on Tuesday of last week. She had been strangled.
Gardai said the three, who are believed to be from Galway, were arrested as part of a planned operation.

Teenager Arrested Over Rape Of 12-Year-Old Girl
A 17-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with the rape of 12-year-old girl in east London. Three males lead the girl to a "secluded" end of a street in Walthamstow at around 00:15 on Saturday before two of them attacked her, held her down and raped her.

A man has been charged under the Terrorism Act 2000 in connection with the attempted bombings in London on July 21, 2005. Detectives from Scotland Yard’s Terrorism Command arrested Lukimon Sulaimon, 23, in Brighton on Tuesday.

Four Bailed In Child Exploitation Inquiry
Avon and Somerset Constabulary said four men arrested earlier this week on suspicion of child sexual exploitation offences have been released on bail. The men were arrested on Wednesday after warrants were executed at four addresses in Bristol and one in the Newport area of South Wales.

Man Arrested Over Kieran McGrath Murder
Detectives investigating the death of a man outside a police station in Greater Manchester have arrested three men. Kieran McGrath, 26, was shot outside the Sheldon Arms pub on 04 October last year. He then drove himself to Ashton-under-Lyne police station and collapsed outside its door. He died from a single gunshot wound to the chest.
