About Causeway School Of Music
Causeway School of Music, Coleraine providing music tuition to the local community
Causeway School of Music opened in January 2006. It is now a thriving community of talented people, young and not so young, aspiring to master the instrument of their choice. Our catchment area for students currently stretches from Cushendall to Ballykelly and Portrush to Randalstown.
We would love to have you join us. You will be allocated a tutor who will encourage and teach you the skills required to play your chosen instrument. A lift is available to our first floor office and teaching area should you require that facility.
If lessons are not immediately available for your instrument you can be placed on our waiting list and contacted when a slot becomes available.
Lessons
Instrumental lessons, vocal tuition and musical theory lessons Northern Ireland.
All tutors delivering instrumental and vocal tuition at Causeway School of Music are highly skilled in their chosen instrument and have academic or music examination board qualifications. All have been vetted through the 'Access NI' child protection service.
Details of the main areas of tuition can be found on our website. A standard lesson is of 30 minutes duration but students working towards grades 7, 8 or Diploma may find they need a longer lesson time with their tutor.
Examinations
Musical Instrument, vocal and musical theory examinations in Coleraine.
Many of our students take examinations as a way to measure their progress in their chosen instrument.
The examining boards used by the Causeway School of Music are:

Trinity Guildhall
Rockschool
London College of Music
Fees are payable to enter the examinations. These fees are set by the examining authority
Please note the A.B.R.S.M., Trinity and L.C.M. examinations require instrumental and singing entrants to be accompanied by a pianist (Piano examinations excepted). This will incur an additional charge which is payable direct to the accompanist on the day of the exam
