Fire Risk Assessments
Make sure you are fully compliant. All non-domestic premises must hold a valid fire safety risk assessment. The new legislation focuses on fire prevention and imparts new duties on employers, owners, managing agents and any other persons with control of premises to reduce the risk from fire as far as is reasonably possible.

Premises to be assessed are:
  • Offices & Shops
  • Factories & Warehouses
  • Sleeping Accommodation
  • Educational Premises

  • Places of Assembly

All Fire supply Fire Risk Assessments throughout N. Ireland. If you have five or more employees, or require a licence or registration, you must record the significant findings of the risk assessment and any actions you have taken to remove/reduce the risk.

Fire Alarms
BS 5839 is the series of BSI’s British Standards that relate to “Fire detection & alarm systems for buildings”. The system must be serviced twice a year by a fully trained and qualified Fire Alarm Engineer. Weekly checks should also be carried out and recorded and these can be shown by our Engineers.

All Fire service Emergency Lighting throughout N. Ireland. An emergency light is a battery-backed up lighting device that switches on automatically when a building experiences a power outage. Emergency lights are standard in new commercial and high occupancy residential buildings.

In accordance with the requirements of BS5266, emergency lighting systems should be periodically tested and inspected to ensure that all luminaires function for design lighting levels, duration and are positioned (including signage) correctly for use in “power-loss situations”.
