About Rowantree Stone Ltd

Manufacturer of Reconstituted Sandstone and Granite and Supplier of Natural Stone

Rowantree Stoneworks is a Lisburn based company. We have built a sound reputation as one of Northern Irelands leading manufacturers of reconstituted stone i.e. sandstone.

Reconstituted stone is manufactured in many forms to enhance the architectural appearance of your house with the use of quoins, stick on quoins, cills, reveals, lintels, pillar caps, columns, string course, steps etc.

A variety of natural coloured sands can be used to obtain a contrast to the main building material you are using, such as brick or block.

The very popular buff colour resembling sandstone , gives a striking contrast to any brick or render finish. All products are manufactured to British Standard 1217 by craftsmen who have after two decades accumulated a vast knowledge and experience in this industry. We supply to both building contractors and to self build houses.

All the sandstone is non structural but is reinforced with galvanised high tensile steel for handling purposes. The colours available are buff, granite, yellow and grey, all obtained by using naturally coloured sands. It is important to remember that all sandstone needs to be sealed to protect it from general weathering.

Stick on Quoins
Our Stick on Quoins are produced in two sizes, 217mm (9") and 296mm (12"). These can be time saving as they only take one day to fix compared to the five days it would take to render on a house. There is a full 25mm champher beyond the finished render which cannot easily be obtained by plastering.
The facing quoin (known as a stick on quoin) is protected by Patent No. 2 294 959
