Hi, we are Alan and David, the Causeway Cafe in Belfast has been up and running, since March 2004, and we are proud to say what a faantastic time its been meeting so many new faces from all around the world.

We started out as a simple breakfast bar, with a very basic menu, which we then developed into the extensive choice you now see today. News about the quality of our great food spread quickly, and we soon were able to offer so much more choice, and install a state of the art Expresso Machine in 2006, which enabled us to create our exclusive range of delicious Fairtarde and Orgabic Coffees!

We are delighted to offer a completely separate VEGAN menu, one of the most extensive on offer in Belfast!

Our restaurant now seats 90 people, with regaular tables and chairs as well as sumptuous leather sofas and arm chairs, great for a coffee, and a catch-up chat.

Our goal remains to offer our customers a great meal at a reasonable price. That does not mean, however, that we compromise quality to do so. On the contrary: We guarantee the freshness of our ingredients and prepare everything just the way you like it. We are a family restaurant and we continually strive to produce food to please every one of our customers.

We are dedicated to preserving a fantastic dining environment. Our foods are, to us, a piece of home that we would like to preserve for the next generation.

We stock a wide selection of teas.
Like our Coffee Beans our teas are ethically sourced.

Our coffee beans are Triple Certified, meaning they are Organic, Fairtrade, and Rainforest Alliance.

Our range of Coffee includes Cappuccino, latte, Flat White, Espresso, Ristretto, Machiatto, and many more.

Our Tea range includes the old Favourites - English Breakfast, Earl Grey as well as some rarer styles including Popcorn Tea, Chocolate Flake Tea, and Liquorice and Mint......remember we have over 22 flavours!

And what about Hot Chocolate?

Amazing Organic Hot Chocolate available simply as it is or with Mallows and Whipped Cream

We also have amazing Milk Shakes, available as Chocolate, Banan, Strawberry or Vanilla plus limited edition flavours

Private Hire
As well as our option of outside catering, we also offer on-site private and semi-private room hire.

We currently offer two room options, with full catering available:

Semi-Private
Our Cafe Snug area, seats 16ppl and is available for semi-private hire on hourly, half day, or full day basis. With this package we can offer simple catering from Tea / Coffee & Biscuits through to Morning Coffee - Afternoon Tea - Sandwich Platters - Hot Finger Buffet - Hot Lunch - Hot & Cold Drinks - Dinner

Private Hire
Our private Robinson Room is available for private hire. This room can accommodate up to 50ppl standing, 40ppl classroom style our up to 30ppl conference style. With this package we can offer simple catering from tea / Coffee & Biscuits through to Morning Coffee - Afternoon Tea - Sandwich Platters - Hot Finger Buffet - Hot Lunch - Hot & Cold Drinks - Dinner

Private Party Catering & Private / Semi-Private Function Rooms
Are you looking for a location and catering service for your group?

We offer bookings to groups between 10 and 90 people, for breakfast, Morning Tea / Scones, packed lunch, sit-down lunch and dinner.

We also have one Private Function Room suitable for up to 40 people, and a Semi-Private Function Room suitable for up to 16 People. Our rates are by far the lowest in Belfast.

We have 10 years experience in dealing with large groups, and all our clients feel we offer an amazing service for the price.

We currently work with many travel agents and coach companies, to provide an efficient, and smooth operating service for larges groups needing catering with a fast turn around.
