PUWER Inspections
A PUWER Inspection involves a thorough examination of work equipment in compliance with the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER) in the UK. Our in-house staff are fully trained and competent to perform both visual inspections and more comprehensive examinations, including testing. The primary objective of these inspections is to ensure that the equipment operated, managed, or owned is fit for purpose and safe to use.

The scope of work equipment covered by PUWER Inspections is broad and includes any activities related to the use of equipment, such as starting, stopping, programming, transporting, repairing, modifying, servicing, and cleaning.

Radiodetection CAT & Genny
The Radiodetection CAT & Genny is a professional-grade cable avoidance tool system used to detect and locate underground utilities before excavation or drilling work. It’s widely used in construction, utilities, and civil engineering to prevent accidental damage to buried cables and pipes, which can be dangerous.
Together, the CAT & Genny system is essential for safe excavation and is often required on construction sites by health and safety regulations.

PAT Testing
Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) is a routine inspection service we offer, conducted on electrical appliances and equipment in workplaces and other public environments. The purpose of PAT is to ensure that these appliances are safe to use, reducing the risk of electrical hazards and maintaining compliance with safety regulations.

Face Fit Testing
At Certifia, one of the services we offer is Face Fit Testing. The purpose of this service is to ensure that respiratory masks used in the workplace are properly fitted and sealed to the operator’s face, providing adequate protection. This testing is essential to ensure that the masks effectively safeguard the wearer from harmful airborne substances, maintaining a safe working environment.
