The Container Co is a young company founded following years of experience in international trade and shipping. Having personally unloaded thousands of shipping containers since first beginning work at my father’s Import-Export business, I have long since thought there must be an easier way to unload/ load awkward items from Shipping Containers…or when we used containers to store stock; it would always be the product furthermost from the door which we needed out of the container first.

So when we entered the shipping container business, the first containers we offered to the market were our 40HQ4D, a 40ft Container with an additional four doors down one side. These remain one of our best-selling containers today.

The Container Co began not in a workshop, but on the shipping routes of global trade. As a family business rooted in international trade, we built long-standing relationships with world-renowned container manufacturers — giving us direct access to factory-built shipping containers, made to our design.

We brought that industrial strength home.
Starting with specialised container supply and conversion, we became known for durable, no-nonsense builds — chemical bunded stores, plant rooms, side-access units and fully engineered solutions for contractors, engineers and manufacturers.

But industry wasn’t the whole story.
As more customers came to us wanting not just function, but comfort and flexibility, we evolved. Using the same trusted steel foundations, we began producing single-section modular buildings — tailored for office use, accommodation, garden rooms and personal spaces.

Side Access Containers
Side access containers open along the full length, giving you quick, unrestricted access to all goods. Ideal for bulky or palletised materials, they’re strong, weatherproof, and easy to secure. COSHH / Chemical Storage
Our side-access COSHH containers are designed for the safe storage of chemicals, fuels, and hazardous substances. With full-length opening doors, you have clear visibility and unrestricted access to every drum or IBC, removing the need to climb over obstacles or shuffle stock.
