About Cranfield Caravan Park

Cranfield Caravan Park is a well established family business owned by Jim and Sandra Chestnutt who with the help of their family are here to ensure you receive the warmest of welcomes and the best attention while you holiday on their park.

The touring park is situated at the most southerly point of Northern Ireland with stunning views of the surrounding Mourne Mountains.

The family run park boasts the 5 star award from NITB and British holiday and Home Parks Association and has direct access to Cranfield’s sandy beach with blue flag status.

The focal point of the Park is the Haulbowline Lighthouse built in the 1800s, which sits in the middle of the sea. There are also the ruins of an Anglo Norman Castle within walking distance of the park.

Although the park has Private Holiday Homes, the Touring Park is kept separate and situated towards the Beach and entrance to the Park.

Holiday Park
The warm, welcoming atmosphere of Cranfield Caravan Park has been offered for over 50 years. Visitors can behold breathtaking scenes of blue seas and sandy shores, encompassed by the Mourne mountains. These impressive features ensure that favourable experiences and lasting memories are made.

Our static pitches overlooking the coastline provide a ‘home away from home’ element provided by the park’s combination of modern facilities. On all our static pitches we offer:
  • 32AMP electricity

  • LPG piped gas

  • Digital television

  • Broadband internet (optional)

  • Pay-as-you-go telephone

A telephone is provided in your caravan which can be used for free calls between caravans, and if you wish there is the option to purchase phone cards which enable you to make external calls to friends and family.

Touring Park
Despite the many privately owned caravan holiday homes on site, touring pitches are kept separate and situated towards the park entrance. We can accommodate up to 40 touring caravans.

Each hard standing pitch is right by the seaside and is spacious to enable the option of an awning to be assembled.

All have multi-tower units providing:
  • 16Amp electricity hook up

  • Fresh water

  • Waste water point

  • TV hook up

We now offer wireless internet at reasonable rates for those who wish to avail of it.
Our modern toilet/shower block is well maintained, an excellent suite for disabled visitors which doubles as a family room is also available for use, along with dishwashing sinks and well equipped laundry facilities.
