Park Death Boy Died From 'Head Injuries'
A post mortem has found that a teenager beaten to death in a public park died from head injuries.
Seventeen-year-old Amar Aslam was found in a West Yorkshire park on Sunday evening by two passers-by.
Emergency services were called to Crow Nest Park, Dewsbury at around 7.00pm but Amar was pronounced dead at the scene.
One of the friends who found Amar, named as James Taylor, said he had performed emergency first aid on Amar.
It is reported that a group of youth had been bragging about the attack on the teenager.
Police have now obtained an extension from Magistrates in Bradford to interview six of those arrested in connection with the death of Amar – including five youths and a 20-year-old man.
Detectives still have time to speak to a seventh suspect - 15-year-old boy.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said that the attack "is not believed to be racial".
Amar's sister Samreen said in a statement on behalf of her family: "This has shattered our family and it won't be the same without him."
Police have not confirmed if the attack was filmed - as is often the case in such attacks.
Dewsbury MP Shahid Malik has called for a "change in society" after the killing.
It is believed that all those arrested in connection with Amar's death are Asian.
Police are still searching the park where the teenager was found.
The incident follows a spate of violent attacks by young people in London.
Earlier this month, four teenagers were handed life sentences for the murder of 55 year-old Stephen Green in Luton.
London's Deputy Mayor for Young People, Ray Lewis, has described the problem of crime in the capital as "a rising onslaught".

Arrests Over Brutal Park Murder
Six arrests have been made in relation to the brutal murder of 17-year-old Amar Aslam, whose battered body was found in a park in West Yorkshire on Sunday evening. Post-Mortem Due On Glasgow Park Death
A post-mortem is to be carried out on the body of a woman found in a Glasgow park earlier this week. The discovery was made by a ranger in Queen's Park in the south side of the city at about 9.45am on Thursday. The woman, believed to be in her 20s, has not yet been formally identified and police are treating the death as suspicious.

Dealer Stripped Of £200k By Court
A Wigan drug dealer has had £200,000 worth of crime proceeds seized by the courts. Anthony Seddon, 46, was found guilty of possession with intent to supply a class A drug, possession with intent to supply a class C drug, possession of a stun gun and money laundering. In January Seddon was sentenced to six-and-a-half years in prison.

Man pleads guilty to stabbing student
A man who stabbed a student to death on a train has been sentenced to life imprisonment. Thomas Lee Wood, 22, from Skelmersdale in Lancashire admitted killing first-year student Thomas Grant, 19, from Glouestershire who had been attending St Andrews University.
