Waste Plant Could Create 50 Building Jobs

Proposals have been brought forward to build a new national hazardous waste facility in north Dublin.

If the planning application is approve the plant will will treat ash from incinerators and then bury it on-site.

Murphy Environmental, the firm behind the plans, hope to construct the facility at the Naul in the north of the county.

Murphy Environmental already operates an inert landfill at Hollywood, the Naul, in north Dublin.

According the firm, the government and Environmental Protection Agency have conceded there is a need for a hazardous waste plant.

It is believed the construction scheme could last one year, creating around 50 building jobs.

Nual residents have been assured the pant is safe and would not omit odours.
