HSENI Re-Appointments

Five re-appointments have been made to the board of the Health and Safety Executive for Northern Ireland.

Serving a second three-year term on the board will be Stephanie Lowry (Deputy Chair), James Collins, John Gillvray, Brendan Mackin and Brenda Maitland.

Announcing the re-appointments, Enterprise Minister Arlene Foster said: "I would like to acknowledge the hard work and commitment, each of the re-appointed members have shown the Board, during their first term of office.

"The re-appointments will ensure their broad range of skills and experience will continue to play an important role in taking the work of HSENI forward.

"I also want to recognise the contribution and commitment of the current Chairman, Professor Peter McKie, and the other existing Board members."

The members have been re-appointed for three years with effect from 1 October 2009.

The re-appointments have been made in accordance with the Code of Practice of the Office of the Commissioner for Public Appointments for Northern Ireland. Members currently receive £3,700 each per annum.
