Delivery Man Struck In Hijacking

A food delivery man has been injured in a violent hijacking in west Belfast.

The 20-year-old victim was making deliveries in Dunville Street during the early hours of Sunday morning when he was struck on the head.

An attacker stole the man's car keys and made off in his red Honda Civic at 1am.

According to police, the victim sustained head injuries, which required medical treatment, and was also left badly shaken.

The stolen car was found burnt out close by a short time later.

Police have appealed for information about the incident.

They would like to speak to anyone who was in the area and witnessed the attack or has information relating to it.

Members of the public have been urged to contact officers on 0845 600 8000. Information about crime can also be passed anonymously to the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.

Renewed Appeal For Help Tracing Missing Woman Paula Elliott
The PSNI have issued a fresh appeal for help in tracing the whereabouts of high-risk missing person Paula Elliott, who has now not been seen for three weeks. Paula, 52, was last seen on Tuesday 5th March on CCTV cameras leaving the Sprucefield Court area of Lisburn at 5.30pm, before making her way to Warren Gardens at around 5.36pm.
