CIOB Award recognises local man's outstanding performance

Greig Twaddle, of JTC Consulting, a Comber Building Consultants firm, was recently presented with a special award at the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) Awards.

The award recognised Mr Twaddle's outstanding performance in his Direct Membership Examination (DMX).

The DMX course is designed to meet the needs of mature students and is the experienced professional’s route to become a Chartered Builder.

In October last year, Mr Twaddle attended another Award Winners Presentation at CIOB Headquarters, Berkshire, to receive a bronze medal for his performance.

With only two medals awarded amongst 231 individuals taking part in the examination from Ireland, mainland UK and overseas, this was an excellent achievement.

“The DMX results this year where once again to a very high standard. The pass rate by CITB candidates was 86 per cent, which is far and above the actual UK pass rate,” said Martin Cushnahan, Training Manager at the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB).

“These outstanding results further highlight the dedication and commitment that our candidates put into their efforts."
