Derry Call Centre Jobs To Be Axed

More than 300 call centre staff employed by Stream International in Londonderry are set to lose their jobs, following the company's failure to secure new contracts.

The company, which provides support services for technology firms such as Dell, BT, JVC and Vodafone, has been struggling to find new business in the current economic crisis.

The call centre provides customer service and technical support for computer hardware products.

According to reports, some of the staff have found new jobs with another call centre in the city.
