FLAG Secures Seat Auction Deal
Seat UK has agreed a major used car auction deal with Leicestershire-based Fleet Auction Group (FLAG).
The move will see the firm take on more responsibility for remarketing the Spanish brand's vehicles via its trade-only auctions.
The new arrangement with Seat builds on a 50/50 auction contract FLAG previously shared with Manheim.
Next year, FLAG will host 12 closed Seat UK dealer auctions with an estimated 120 to 140 cars going under the hammer per sale.
As part of the tender process, Seat used an independent external consultancy to analyse its remarketing performance.
Seat Used Car Manager David Ardern said the Spanish manufacturer had excellent support from FLAG over the past year.
"Conversion rates and residuals achieved have been exceptional. Add the high level of personal service we receive and they were clearly our first choice as remarketing partners for 2010."
FLAG Sales Director Guy Pearce said: "We always achieve a good attendance from around the country, obviating the need for multiple regional sales.
"Being close to two airports means we regularly attract Seat dealers from all areas of the UK mainland and Ireland."
