Fourteen NI companies shortlisted for Technology Awards

Fourteen companies from Northern Ireland have been short listed for the Deloitte & Touche Fast 50 Technology Awards 2002.

The awards, which recognise and rank the fastest growing technology companies throughout Ireland, will take place on February 27 in Dublin.

While all the local companies shortlisted have been notified, they will not know their actual placing until the night of the awards.

The companies from Northern Ireland short listed are: Amtec Medical; Andor Technology; Arcom; Belair Software; Biznet Solutions; Figure Retail Systems; First Derivatives; NiSoft (UK); Real Time Systems; Service & Systems Solutions; Sysco Software Solutions; textHelp Systems; The Internet Business and Level 7. Last year Newry-based firm First Derivatives, which reported a growth of 891 per cent over two years, topped the awards.

Three NI companies receive awards at Trade Partners UK ceremony
FG Wilson (Engineering) in County Antrim, Belfast Company Paul K Nolan & Co and Docksafe in Bangor have all received awards in the Northern Ireland regional finals of the Trade Partners UK National Language for Export Awards 2001. FG Wilson, one of the largest diesel generating set manufacturers in Europe, received the AMD Brass Tacks award.
