'GTi Performance' With Superchip
Superchips Ltd, the ECU specialist, has announced a new performance upgrade for the Peugeot 207 GTi THP 175.
The GTi’s 1598cc, 175bhp, twin scroll, turbocharged unit features an advanced MED17 engine management system, which required a thorough analysis by Superchip’s in house technicians to identify performance enhancement opportunities.
Extensive fine tuning of fuelling, ignition and boost levels has produced a performance remap for the current range topping Peugeot 207, which was validated using Superchip’s in house chassis dynomometer allied to a comprehensive road testing program.
Post remap, the Superchips converted Peugeot 207 GTi THP 175 produces a power gain of 12bhp (up to 190bhp from a measured 178bhp,) with an extra 25bhp in the mid range, greatly enhancing real world fast road performance.
More impressively, torque leaps from a measured 258Nm (188lb.ft) to a mighty 306Nm (223lb.ft,) with nearly 300Nm available from 2000rpm to 4000rpm, highlighting the improved flexibility of the Superchip’s upgrade, which is designed to use regular 95 octane forecourt petrol.
The new Superchip’s performance ECU remap for the Peugeot 207 GTi THP 175 is available by visiting one of approximately 100 Superchips dealerships in the UK who will install the upgrade.
As part of this process, the customer’s original file is stored for safe keeping.
Suitable for all MY2007 onwards Peugeot 207 GTI THP 175’s, Superchips new performance remap is available now, priced at £391.00 including VAT.

The 207 Sport HDi 110 hatchback and SW Sport and Outdoor HDi 110 models are now replaced by new versions fitted with a new 6-speed manual gearbox and a more powerful HDi 112 bhp diesel engine.

Peugeot Sales Increase By 21.6%
April has seen another strong performance from Peugeot in the run up to it 200th anniversary in May. As the UK market reported an 11.5% increase in April, Peugeot benefited from strong sales of its HDi diesel models, up 53.4%, to record an overall sales increase of 21.6%.

In a blistering start to its bicentenary year, Peugeot UK has rounded off a momentous January with some excellent sales figures. Just three weeks after the global re-launch of the brand, Peugeot has seen January car sales increase by nearly 46% year-on-year, boosting market share to 5.76%.
