Sports Crest announces investment package
Bangor-based embroidery company, Sports Crest, has announced an investment package of £150,000 over the next 12 months as part of the company's continuing expansion drive.
The latest stage in the development will see a £50,000 cash injection into new machinery to boost productivity levels as the company targets the Republic and mainland British marketplace.
The move follows on from the company's nomination to the Bangor Chamber of Commerce local business awards. The awards, sponsored by Signal, cover a range of sectors among its 17 categories and will be held in Clandeboy Lodge Hotel on February 28. Sport Crest have been nominated for the 'Business Growth' category.
Director Peter McConvey said: "In a time that manufacturing has seen a steep decline, Sports Crest has proved that dedication to quality and customer service pays dividends. The demand has meant that we have to keep investing heavily in machinery to keep standards high."
The company has offices in Bangor and London promoting their 'Expert Clothing' range and supplies 300,000 garments to a variety of organisations and professions including hotels, restaurants, hospitals, schools and clubs.
