All Losers After Pitch Battle Disciplinary
There's to be an appeal after the IFA Disciplinary Committee handed out punishments to Larne and Newry City following the abandonment of their JJB Irish Cup tie on 16 January.
Larne were fined £1,200, with Anthony Lagan banned until 31 May and Robert White and Brian Neeson both suspended for two games and fined £75 each.
Inver Park manager Paul Millar was handed a four-game ban.
Newry City were fined £800 and had Cullen Feeney banned for two games and fined £75.
Larne FC was warned regarding their future conduct as the IFA said these incidents have been considered both extremely serious and totally unacceptable and led to the abandonment of the match. Newry City FC was also warned regarding their future conduct.
All suspensions commenced on Monday 15 February and have to be served as directed in the IFA Disciplinary Code.
However, both clubs have the right of appeal to the IFA Appeals Board under Article 21 of the Irish Football Association's Articles of Association with news this afternoon that Newry City will make an appeal.
The BBC has also reported that Larne is still to hold a directors' meeting to consider if one should be made on their behalf.
