Longer Life Avon Tyre
Avon Tyres’ latest high-performance tyre, the ZT5, caters for a wide range of popular small, medium-sized vehicles, such as the Ford Fiesta, Volkswagen Polo, Vauxhall Corsa, Citroen C3 and Peugeot 207.
Avon used the latest ‘pitch technology’ to reduce road noise for a quieter ride and to ensure that the new tyre conforms with EU noise legislation. The real star of the ZT5 is its innovative tread design, which offers optimum road grip when wet.
With excellent steering response and enhanced overall handling characteristics, the grooves of the tread design provide optimum aquaplaning performance.
The Avon ZT5 is T-speed rated and available in sizes ranging from 13- to 15-inch diameters. The product will be available to buy in the UK and mainland Europe from March 2010.

Motorists are more interested in keeping their cars clean than checking the safety of the spare tyre, a study has revealed. Over 80% of UK motorists admitted in a survey to having their car cleaned regularly, but only 30% of owners have checked their spare tyre in the last three months.

Kia Gears Up For Sports Car Challenge
Following six months of round-the-clock vehicle build-up and testing in preparation for the 2010 GRAND-AM Continental Tyre Sports Car Challenge season, Kia Motors’ first-ever US motorsports program reaches the track later this week with two Forte Koups competing in the ‘Fresh From Florida 200’ at Daytona International Speedway on 29 January.
