Bentley Launch Gives East Lothain A Boost

The launch of the Mulsanne - the latest Bentley car- has been hailed as an economic boost for East Lothian.

The £220,000 car was globally launched in a three-week event, being staged at Archerfield.

Bentley said it chose the area because of its "top class driving roads with excellent scenery".

Sheena Richardson, East Lothian's provost, said she was "absolutely delighted" Bentley had chosen the area to launch the new Mulsanne.

About 130 journalists from across the world have travelled to the event.

"This visit will provide a much needed economic boost to the county with local restaurants, hotels and bars hosting the journalists, " added Ms Richardson.

Mike Hawes, Bentley Motors' global public relations director, said Scotland was a world-class venue.

The Mulsanne is named after a corner at the Le Mans race circuit and has a top speed of 184mph.
