Murder Probe Underway In Fermanagh

A suspicious death early this morning is now being treated as a murder inquiry and a probe has begun in County Fermanagh.

It started soon after a 36-year-old man was found dead near the village of Tempo.

Police were called to a house in the Edenmore area at about 4.20am on Tuesday.

They said that a 37-year-old woman was taken to hospital with suspected stab injuries, which are not believed to be life-threatening.

Meanwhile, a 35-year-old man was arrested after his vehicle was stopped several miles away on Tattymoyle Road in Fintona.

A police spokeswoman also confirmed that the road remains closed at the scene, and emphasised that enquiries were at an early stage.
