Belsonic To Blast Bank Holiday

Belfast's biggest musical festival just got bigger - a lot bigger.

Taking place in the convenient urban setting of Belfast's Custom House Square, Belsonic returns with a series of very special one day events bringing the best in music to the heart of the city from 17th August through to the August bank holiday weekend.

The festival has in fact doubled in size with the addition of four new nights featuring four new headlining acts.

The event's organisers have announced the appearance of Paul Weller, David Guetta, Biffy Clyro, Lost Prophets and 2ManyDJs / Soulwax, making it the most impressive event in the festival's three year history.

Now another phase of announcements has revealed that English rock giants Kasabian (pictured), Scottish singer/songwriter Paolo Nutini, BRIT award winning indie outfit Florence & The Machine, and Welsh rock stalwarts Stereophonics will be playing the Custom House Square in the days running up to the original weekend shows.

There is also expected to be a full support line up to be announced for the new acts, including a litany of our best local bands. So far Major Lazer and Kids on Bridges will support 2ManyDjs, The Courteeners, General Fiasco and Cashier No.9 help out Paul Weller, Twin Atlantic appear with Biffy Clyro and Lostprohets, while Fake Blood, Japanese Popstars and Burns complete the David Guetta support slots.
