Husband and wife team disqualified from being company directors

A husband and wife team have been disqualified from being company directors by the High Court.

Edward Manning Junior and Angela Manning, from Belfast, were disqualified for eight years and four years respectively as a result of their conduct as directors of Kennedy Way Karparts Limited.

The case was brought by the Insolvency Service of the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Investment under the Companies (NI) Order 1989 which seeks to protect the public and trading community from the abuses of the privilege conferred by limited liability status.

Kennedy Way Karparts Limited traded in the sale of car components from premises at Unit 4DC Complex, Kennedy Way, Belfast from August 1985 to January 1999.

The company was wound up by the High Court in June 1999 with an estimated deficiency to creditors of £119,314. (MB)
