Woman Killed In Cookstown Crash

A 27-year-old woman has died in hospital following a road traffic collision on the Old Coagh Road in Cookstown.

Janet Marie Harney from the Cookstown area was the driver of one of three vehicles involved in the collision which was reported to police at around 11pm on Friday 30th July.

Two of the cars involved in the crash are believed to have been stationary at the time of the collision.

Two males were also taken to hospital however their injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

Police investigating the collision are appealing for witnesses to contact them. The number to call is 0845 600 800.

Meanwhile, a child critically hurt in a weekend road crash has been transferred to the Royal Victoria Hospital after first being treated at Daisy Hill Hospital in Newry.

The three-year-old boy was involved in a road accident at Monteith Road in Annaclone, outside Rathfriland at about 3pm on Sunday.

Woman Killed In Co Armagh Road Collision
A woman in her 30s has been killed in a road crash in Portadown, Co Armagh. The woman was hit by a car as she was walking on the side of the Moy Road at around 9.45pm on Tuesday. The road was closed for a short time but it has been reopened. Police are appealing for any witnesses to contact them.

Man Killed In Co Antrim Road Collision Named
A man who died in a road collision in Co Antrim has been named as Kamil Gervenka. The crash occurred on the Portglenone Road in Randalstown at around 12.15am on Sunday, 23 October. It is believed he was originally from Slovakia and worked in the area. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
