Omagh Bomb Families Press For Inquiry
Twelve years after NI's worst terrorist atrocity, the families bereaved in the IRA's Omagh bombing have revealed they are to raise their calls for a public inquiry in talks with the new Westminster Government next month.
The anniversary of the 1998 blast, which claimed the lives of 29 people, including a woman pregnant with twins, was marked with an interdenominational service in the Co Tyrone town.
Representatives of the British and Irish governments were among those who attended the poignant event.
Prayers were read in various languages including Spanish, in memory of the victims of that country killed in the blast.
Northern Ireland Office Minister Hugo Swire said: "I was very pleased to be asked and very pleased to be able to come here today, twelve years after this appalling atrocity which for many people is still alive in their memories."
The dissident Real IRA carried out the Omagh bombing with the same faction using this Saturday to plant a bomb in very similar circumstances.
It exploded and left three children injured when the bomb planted by dissident republicans exploded in a bin in Lurgan, Co Armagh.

PSNI Investigating Fatal Collision Near Bready, Co Tyrone
An investigation has been launched following a fatal road traffic collision near Bready, Co Tyrone. At around 1.40pm on Sunday, 07 April, police responded to a report of a single vehicle collision on the Victoria Road. When police arrived it was discovered that a white Seat Leon had left the carriageway close to the junction with Grangefoyle Road.

'Significant Quantity' Of Tablets Discovered On Co Down Beach
The PSNI have issued a warning following the discovery of a "significant quantity" of tablets of County Down's Cloughey beach on the afternoon of Wednesday, 03 April. Officers responded to reports that large quantity of tablets in plastic blister packs had been found on the beach.

Homes Evacuated In Co Tyrone And Co Down
Homes have been evacuated in two separate security alerts in County Tyrone and County Down today, 19 January. In the first security alert, a suspicious object was found at at a house on the Gortgonis Road in Coalisland. A number of nearby houses have been evacuated and the public asked to avoid the area at this time.

Appeal Following Petrol Bomb Attack In Banbridge
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following a petrol bomb attack in Banbridge, in the early hours of Tuesday 19th March. It was reported that at around 2.10am on Tuesday morning, two petrol bombs were thrown at the back wall of a house in the Castlewellan Road area, causing scorch damage to the wall and a window frame.

Police have reported that shots were fired from the nationalist Short Strand into Cluan Place during disturbances in east Belfast last night. After about two hours of sporadic street violence, a gunman fired six shots through a gap in the 'peace-line' wall in the Clandeboye area of the Short Strand.
