TASK Software secures order for Contractor solution

Merseyside-based Ellesmere Port and Neston Borough Council has purchased the TASK Contractor solution for 20 users in its Contract Services department.

The system ordered from Antrim-based TASK Software, will manage the delivery of the council’s Housing, Highways and Environmental maintenance services. The contract also includes a five-user Fleetmaster product, which TASK is supplying through one of its Application Partners, Southern Computer Systems.

After a three-month evaluation process, the council opted for the TASK solution because it offered the best combination of functionality and sophistication, with ease of use. Ellesmere Port and Neston Borough Council were also impressed with TASK’s willingness to be flexible in the provision of a tailored solution. TASK replaces an existing MDIS system, which was a character based, dated system that was coming to the end of its useful life.

Archie Drummond, Borough Works Officer for Ellesmere Port and Neston Borough Council said: “TASK Contractor was the first choice of all of my team. We are particularly impressed with its functionality and flexibility. We also look forward to having the software assist us in monitoring Best Value Performance Indicators.”

Antrim-based TASK Software has been providing IT solutions to the local government market for the last 15 years.

The company is a leading supplier to the Direct Services Organisation market and has recently been expanding into the broader local government market, as well as related sectors such as housing associations and fire services. (MB)
