Gary Moore Left Estate Of £2M
The former Thin Lizzy guitarist Gary Moore, who tragically died in February, is reported to have left an estate worth over £2m.
Probate records are said to reveal that the Belfast-born blues guitarist, was worth £2.077m at the time of his death.
Moore died of a suspected heart attack in February as he began a holiday in Spain.
Moore, with an address in Hove, England, had two sons from a former marriage and a daughter, Jo Rendle.
It is not known if he left a will, but the High Court in England granted a temporary order allowing executors power to run his companies, Orionstar and Bonuswise, before a final settlement of his estate.
The legendary Belfast blues guitarist Gary Moore had a career spanning 40 years, that saw him explore a number of genres and styles of music, but he had experienced a resurgence in popularity in recent years after returning to the blues that had made him famous.
Robert William Gary Moore, 58, grew up off the Upper Newtownards Road in east Belfast. He was one of the most famous and influential blues guitarists in the world and died in his sleep in his Kempinski hotel room in Estepona, Spain after enjoying a night out with a female companion.
