Enterprise campaign looks to educate local schools

Enterprise Insight has launched its Enterprising Schools campaign in Northern Ireland.

The event, which is the creation of CBI, IOD and the Northern Ireland Chamber of Commerce, took place in the Ramada Hotel.

The three bodies concerned hope the campaign will raise the level of business awareness and potential entrepreneurial skills in schools throughout Northern Ireland. To achieve this they are encouraging local business people to increase the time that they will give to working with schools in achieving this objective.

The Enterprise Insight campaign encourages businesses to take part in a range of programmes offered to them by its partners Northern Ireland Business Education Partnership, Business in the Community, Princes Trust, Young Enterprise and Sentinus amongst others.

The focus of all these programmes is on stimulating the enterprise culture in local schools.

Consignia Chairman, Bryan Johnston, who is also the Chairman of Enterprise Insight Northern Ireland, supported the Northern Ireland launch. (MB)
