Local company offers viable alternative to Dublin IT firm

Newry-based company Moulddesigner Ltd (MDL) has helped to develop an innovative new product that is set to revolutionise the way companies manage their server requirements.

Working in tandem with Dublin company AnteFacto, MDL were able to assist the Irish firm in putting the finishing touches to their Sentinel I internet server management appliance. Offering the ability to provide a range of injection moulds, MDL developed a plastic front control panel for use with the product within an extremely tight timeframe.

“We use the latest in virtual CAD design technology,” explained MDL director, Kieran Ferguson, “and are able to design three-dimensional injection moulds capable of producing low-medium volumes of plastic components in hours, as opposed to the traditional weeks.”

Mr Ferguson went on to explain that up until now, there had not existed a truly viable option for companies wishing to product more than such traditional methods would allow.

Antefacto will now be able to move forward into the customer market with Sentinel I, which integrates into one device everything necessary to secure, monitor, administer and guarantee access to servers.

By integrating all functionality into a single device, Sentinel I cuts deployment time, and can be installed, configured and integrated in under an hour. (CL)
